The Lake has been this way for as long as sentient creatures have been living on the island. The lake is heavily populated by a large group of crocodiles that do not seem to interact with the relatively nearby population of estuary crocodiles. Generations of hard-working Hurstians built a stable economy that has endured through all sorts of hardships and downturns. Now the coastal domain has grown into a thriving and wealthy realm that supports a bustling entrepreneurial spirit.</p><p>New businesses pop up nearly everyday in the capital, Earthenhurst City. Though they do not live up to the Ales of Old Talon, New Breweries and Meaderies are opening up all over the City along with wineries popping up on the outskirts. The City also has a thriving fabric industry where the finest clothes on all of Talonroth are made. The smell of dyes fill the air and freshly made clothes fluttering in the breeze, hung from street vendor tents and from window to window above the city streets. Visitors to the city are often seen travelling from brewery to brewery and shop to shop.</p><p>The straddles the banks of the Istula River that flows south out of the northern mountains. The cool mountain waters of this river are clean and delicious until they reach bounds of Earthenhurst City where it becomes murky, dirty, and emanate a chemical smell likely from the cloth dying process. The breweries have started to send out water gatherers further upstream for the cleaner water that they need for their Ales and Meaderies.</p><p>The Capital City is also home to one of the finest fighter academies on the continent, Bladehurst University. Traders, messengers, and merchants could be seen travelling safely all along the path every day. One day an enormous storm struck the East Coast of the Island and it is said that waves 50 feet tall struck the shore forcing water back up and reversing the flow of the Uhnna River, into the interior mountains. The banks of the Uhnna began to spill over with surging water and soon the surrounding land became inundated.</p><p>Everyone assumed the water would eventually dry-up but that wasn't the case. Some claim it was because there was a natural bowl along the coast, especially equipped to hold water, while others claim it is because an evil magic came and destroyed the \"backbone\" of Greshana in order to slow down the rise of the Kingdom of Greshana. Either way, shortly after its creation, mysterious monsters and evil spirits were said to move into the swamp making passage through it nearly impossible for the average citizenry of the Kingdom. Some say that the flow of the Uhnna never reversed back and that it has started to flood the interior making a newer larger lake at the foothills of the mountains.</p>","zoomLevel":"2","icon":"Map_Pin_green"},"geometry":{"type":"Point","coordinates":[7373.010406,4460.65625]}},{"type":"Feature","properties":{"name":"The Fallen Kingdom of Talon","description":"<p>500 years ago The Kingdom of Talon, a prosperous trading realm, was the rump state of the formerly continent spanning Talon Empire. It's prosperity was said to flow from the magical waters of The Great Crystal Lake, who's shores the Kingdom sat on. The water bestowed the fields and orchards of the Kingdom with extreme fertility allowing them to yield the finest fruits and grains from across the realms. The wines and Ales produced from these products fueled the trade the kingdom was establishing. This wealth was overseen by 10 generations of Philosopher Kings, each one an elected sovereign by the one that came before. This prosperity continued uninterrupted until King Alinor the Proud decided to name his first-born son heir to the throne, breaking a centuries long tradition of elected successors.</p><p>The people of Talon were not pleased and begged the King to reconsider, but he refused. As King Alinor lay dying in his bed he remained steadfast and allowed his son, the New King Alinor II, to assume his throne. One month into his reign the field and orchards of Talon began producing lower and lower quality yields. Soon the lush grasslands and thick orchards began to wither. As his people started to leave the realm in search of more fertile fields King Alinor II refused to believe his Kingdom was crumbling around him. It is said he never left his fortress in the north and can still be heard roaming its halls lamenting the withering of his
